Getting Started with Loyalty: Set Up Membership Info
The first step in setting up your loyalty program — choose what information members provide when they join, and set how long a membership stays valid.

Overview

Membership Info is the first thing to set up in your loyalty program. It defines the information a customer provides when they join as a member, plus how long a membership stays valid. Getting this right early means every member you sign up is captured with the details you need for later rewards and campaigns.

This is the first article in the loyalty series — see What’s Next at the end for the rest.

Before You Start

  • Loyalty is managed in the Loyalty app, which you sign in to with your Ideku account.
  • Your account needs the Loyalty add-on enabled. If you don’t see the Loyalty app or its menus, contact Ideku Support to have it turned on.

Where to Configure

In the Loyalty app, open Settings → Membership Info. The page is titled Loyal member settings and holds the information required for member registration.

Choose What Members Provide at Registration

Fixed Details

These are always collected when someone joins and cannot be turned off:

  • Mobile phone number
  • Full name
  • Date of Birth

Custom Details

Tick any extra details you also want to collect at sign-up:

  • Email — recommended.
  • Gender (Male, Female, Non-Binary, Prefer not to say).
  • City.
  • Address (including zip code and address).

Note  Collect Email if you plan to send promotional emails later — if it isn’t collected at sign-up, you won’t be able to email those members.

Save

Click Save to apply your settings (or Discard to undo changes). New sign-ups will then collect exactly the details you selected.

Note  Membership Info applies to your whole brand (all stores), not to a single store.

What’s Next

With Membership Info set, the next guides in this series cover:

  • Membership QR Code — let customers scan to join.
  • Tiers & Segments.
  • Points policy and the Points Marketplace (rewards).
  • Vouchers and Digital Stamp.

Best Practices

  • Only ask for details you’ll actually use — shorter sign-up forms convert better.
  • Turn on Email from day one if email marketing is in your plans.
  • Decide your Valid Period up front; changing how long memberships last later can affect existing members.
  • Set this up before you start enrolling members so everyone is captured consistently.
