How to Configure Menu Availability Schedule
Define when a menu is visible by date and time for each store.

Overview

The Menu Availability Schedule allows you to control when a specific menu is visible and available for ordering at a store.

This feature helps you:

  • Launch limited-time menus (e.g., seasonal promotions)
  • Set breakfast, lunch, or dinner menus
  • Control late-night or off-peak offerings
  • Prevent customers from ordering items outside service hours

Without scheduling, a menu will remain visible at all times.

Configure menu scheduling when:

  • Operating time-based menus (e.g., Breakfast 7:00–11:00 AM)
  • Running temporary campaigns
  • Managing weekday vs weekend variations
  • Offering different menus across different dayparts
  • Limiting special menus to a fixed period

Where to Configure

To set the availability schedule:

  1. Go to the specific Menu Management Page
(Not the main Menu List page — you must enter the individual menu’s detail page.)
  2. Inside the menu detail page (where Categories and Items are managed), click the Schedule tab.
  3. Enable the Available Date & Time toggle to activate scheduling.

Available Date & Time Toggle

How It Works

  • Toggle ON → The menu will follow a defined schedule.
  • Toggle OFF → The menu will remain permanently visible at the selected store.

If the toggle is not enabled, no time restrictions will apply.

⚠ This setting is configured per menu and may apply per store depending on your system setup.

Scheduling Your Menu

Setting Start and End Dates

  • Start Date – When the menu becomes available
  • End Date – When the menu is no longer available

Use date scheduling for:

  • Seasonal menus
  • Holiday campaigns
  • Limited-time collaborations
  • Event-based offerings

Setting Weekly Schedule

Selecting Active Days

You can select which days of the week the menu should appear.

Example:

  • Monday – Friday: Enabled
  • Saturday – Sunday: Disabled

If a day is enabled, you can further configure its operating hours.

Setting Daily Time Slots

For each enabled day, define:

  • Start Time
  • End Time

Example:

  • Monday: 07:00 – 11:00
  • Tuesday: 07:00 – 11:00

This allows precise control over daypart menus.

How Scheduling Affects Visibility

A menu will be visible only when:

  • The store is selected in List Store
  • The menu is active
  • The Available Day & Time toggle is set to off
  • When the Available Day & Time toggle is set to ON:
    • The current date is within the Start–End range
    • The current time falls within the configured time slot

If any condition is not met, the menu will not be displayed.

Limitations & Considerations

  • Scheduling applies at the menu level, not item level.
  • Overlapping menus with the same service type may cause display conflicts depending on system priority rules.
  • Time settings follow the store’s configured timezone.
  • Removing a schedule does not delete the menu — it only removes restrictions.

Best Practices

  • Clearly separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus instead of mixing items.
  • Avoid overlapping time windows between menus of the same type.
  • Set an End Date for promotional menus to prevent accidental overextension.
  • Test schedule behavior before publishing to live stores.
  • Document menu time strategy for operations teams.
