Overview
The Membership QR Code is the easiest way to grow your member base. Display it and customers scan it with their phone, land on your sign-up page, and join as members in seconds — no app to install and nothing for your staff to type in.
This is the second article in the loyalty series. If you haven’t set up Membership Info yet, do that first — it decides which details a customer fills in after they scan.
Before You Start
- Sign in to the Loyalty app with your Ideku account, with the Loyalty add-on enabled.
- Finish Settings → Membership Info first, so new members are captured with the details you want.
- Make sure the correct store is selected — the QR code is tied to the store you currently have active.
Where to Find It
In the Loyalty app, open Settings → Membership QR Code. The page shows a ready-to-use QR poster titled QR To Let Member Scan, with the instruction “scan to visit your profile to create one.”
Choose a Size
Pick the format that matches where you’ll display the poster:
- A3 — large posters and standees.
- A4 — wall signs and flyers.
- A5 — counter cards and table tents (default).
- Digital Display — screens, menu boards, and online use.
The size only changes the dimensions of the exported image — the QR code itself is the same.

Export the QR Code
Click Export to download the poster as a PNG image in the size you chose. From there you can print it, add it to receipts, or drop it into a digital screen.
Note The exported file is a standard image. To print on a specific paper size, pick the matching size here (A3/A4/A5) before exporting, then print the image at 100%.
What Happens When a Customer Scans
Scanning the code opens your sign-up page on the customer’s phone browser — no app download needed. They enter the details you defined in Membership Info (mobile number, full name, date of birth, plus any extra fields you enabled) and they’re registered as a member of your brand.

Where to Display It
- At the counter or cashier, where staff can point to it while handing over the bill.
- On table tents and menus for dine-in customers.
- On printed receipts and takeaway packaging.
- On digital screens, social media, or your website (use the Digital Display size).
Best Practices
- Add a short line like “Scan to join & earn rewards” next to the poster so customers know why they should scan.
- Have staff mention the QR code at checkout — a quick prompt lifts sign-ups more than the poster alone.
- Place it where people wait (counter, table) so they have a moment to scan.
- Test the poster yourself after printing: scan it and confirm the sign-up page opens correctly.
What’s Next
With members signing up, the next guides in this series cover:
- Tiers & Segments.
- Points policy and the Points Marketplace (rewards).
- Vouchers and Digital Stamp.
