Overview
Every customer who buys from you is either a loyalty member or a regular (non-member) customer. This guide explains what changes once someone joins your loyalty program — what members get that walk-ins don’t, and what the program does and doesn’t include — so you can set expectations with your team and your customers.
The Short Version
A non-member simply pays and leaves — they earn nothing and are not saved in your system. A member has a profile tied to their phone number, so every visit can earn points, build toward rewards, and unlock member-only benefits — and you can reach them later with offers.

What a Loyalty Member Gets
A saved profile
A member has a record tied to their phone number — name, Member ID, birthday, and any other details you collect at sign-up — so staff can find them and every purchase is linked to them.
Points
Members earn points on their spend based on your points policy, and redeem them for rewards in your Points Marketplace. Points are only earned when the order is attached to a member — a walk-in order earns nothing.
Vouchers
Members can hold and use vouchers in their account, including ones triggered by events like a birthday or a minimum purchase. Once a voucher is claimed by members, it’s tied to them.
Digital stamp cards
Members collect stamps on each qualifying order and unlock the reward you set (a free item, a discount, bonus points, or even a tier upgrade). Non-members can’t collect stamps.
Tiers & segments
Members are grouped into tiers and segments (for example by how much they spend), which lets you give higher-value customers better treatment and target offers.
Member pricing
Products can have a separate member price. When a member is attached to the order, checkout uses the member price instead of the regular price. Non-members always pay the regular price.
Note Member pricing is a separate price you set per product — it is not an automatic discount. If you don’t set a member price, members and non-members pay the same.
Offers and campaigns
Because members leave their contact details, you can reach them later with SMS and email announcements — birthday rewards, win-back messages for members who haven’t visited, or offers to your top spenders. You cannot message non-members because you have no way to contact them.
What a Non-Member Gets
A non-member can order and pay exactly as normal — the loyalty program never blocks a regular sale. They simply pay the regular price and don’t earn points, stamps, vouchers, or tier status, and they aren’t saved for future offers. Any customer can become a member at any time by scanning your Membership QR Code or being added at the POS.
What the Program Does NOT Include
To set expectations clearly, the loyalty program does not currently include:
- Member-only free delivery.
- Member-only menu items or hidden products.
- A referral (refer-a-friend) program.
- Automatic points or rewards for walk-ins who aren’t attached as members.
Note Which benefits are available also depends on your Loyalty plan. The baseline (Lite) plan covers members, basic points, and basic vouchers. The Full plan adds Digital Stamp, Tiers & Segments, SMS/Email announcements (including automated birthday rewards), and advanced voucher conditions. If a feature is greyed out or marked as an upgrade, it belongs to the Full plan.
Key Takeaways
- Being a member is what unlocks points, vouchers, stamps, tiers, and member pricing — a walk-in gets none of these.
- An order only earns loyalty benefits when a member is attached to it.
- Members can be contacted later with offers; non-members cannot.
- Encourage sign-ups with the Membership QR Code so more customers earn — and so you can bring them back.
