Vouchers: Create & Manage Member Offers
Create vouchers members can claim and use — discounts, free items, birthday offers — with conditions like minimum spend, validity periods, and usage limits.

Overview

Vouchers are offers your members can claim and use — a discount off the bill, a free item, a birthday treat. You create a voucher with one benefit (what the member gets) and optional conditions (when it applies), and members add it to their account by its code.

This is part of the loyalty series.

Note  Vouchers are claimed, not automatically handed out. A member claims a voucher by its code (or staff claim it for them at the POS), and it then lives in the member’s account until used or expired.

The Vouchers List

Open Vouchers in the Loyalty app to see all your vouchers — name, code, benefit, order type, period, usage, amount, and status. From here you can add, edit, duplicate, or delete a voucher, filter by store or date, and export to CSV.

Note  A voucher shows as Active or Inactive. A voucher also shows as Inactive automatically if its validity period hasn’t started yet or has already ended, even if you never switched it off.

Creating a Voucher

Click Add Voucher and fill in the three parts below.

1. Basics

  • Voucher Name — what the member sees.
  • Voucher Code — the code members enter to claim it (up to 15 characters, no spaces, e.g. PROMO100).
  • Total Claimable Vouchers — how many can be claimed in total (or set Unlimited).
  • Order Type — which order types it works on: Dine In, Takeaway, and/or Delivery.
  • List Store — which stores it’s valid at (or All Stores).

2. Voucher Benefit (pick one)

  • Total Discount — an amount off the bill, as a fixed amount ($) or a percentage (%). You can add a Max Discount cap on a percentage discount.
  • Free Item — one or more selected items for free.
  • Product Discount — a discount that applies only to selected items (or to everything except selected items).

3. Conditions

Set when the voucher is valid. You must choose one validity model:

  • Period — fixed start and end dates.
  • Valid [X] days after claim — expires a set number of days after the member claims it (at 23:59:59 on the final day).
  • Birthday — claimable only during the member’s birthday day, week, or month.

And optionally add:

  • Minimum Order Value — the order must reach a minimum total.
  • Selected Items — the order must include specific items.
  • Usage per Customer — how many times each member can use it (or Unlimited).

Note  The following are Full plan only: the Product Discount benefit, and the Birthday, Minimum Order Value, and Selected Items conditions. On the Lite plan these appear as an upgrade prompt. Everything else — Total Discount, Free Item, Period, Valid-days-after-claim, Usage per Customer — works on both plans.

How Members Claim and Use Vouchers

A member gets a voucher by claiming its code — either themselves (for example via the app/QR) or with staff claiming it for them at the POS. Claimed vouchers sit in the member’s account until they’re used or expire, and are applied at checkout, where the system checks the store, order type, and conditions before the discount is given.

  • By default a voucher can be claimed once per member (one-time use).
  • Set Usage per Customer above 1 to let each member use it multiple times.

Editing & Deleting

Caution  A voucher that has already been claimed or used by members cannot be deleted. Its details are also locked once it’s created — you can switch it Active/Inactive, but to change the benefit or conditions you’ll need to duplicate it and create a new one. Set everything up carefully before you save.

Vouchers from Other Features

When a member redeems an item in the Points Marketplace, a voucher is issued to their account for that reward. These redeemed vouchers are managed through the Marketplace flow rather than created here.

Best Practices

  • Use a clear, memorable code so it’s easy to share and type.
  • Add a Minimum Order Value or a per-customer usage limit to protect your margins.
  • Use “Valid days after claim” to create urgency, or a fixed Period for a dated campaign.
  • Double-check the benefit, conditions, and dates before saving — details can’t be edited afterward.
